Gründl Hot Socks Playa (4-ply sock yarn) is a modern 4-ply sock yarn with fresh pastel color gradients and a stylish color-blocking effect. The harmoniously coordinated, clearly defined stripes emerge directly from the ball as you knit and give every project a light, contemporary look. The soft colors ensure a calm, even stitch pattern – perfect for anyone who loves subtle yet lively designs.
With a high natural fiber content of 46% cotton and 33% merino wool (superwash), this sock yarn offers a particularly comfortable feel. Cotton has a cooling effect and absorbs moisture well, while merino wool is temperature-regulating and breathable. The result is a skin-friendly yarn that is ideal for comfortable socks and light knitted garments.
An elastic polyester filament ensures optimal fit and dimensional stability, while polyamide increases durability. Hot Socks Playa is machine washable, felt-free and therefore ideal for everyday use.
With a yardage of approx. 450 m per 100 g and a recommended needle size of 2.5–3.0 mm, the yarn can be processed evenly and comfortably. One ball is usually sufficient for a pair of socks up to size 46/47.
Hot Socks Playa is ideal for socks for the whole family, as well as for light accessories such as summer scarves, airy hats, or projects that benefit from soft pastel tones and clear stripes.
